Abstract:
The case examines knowledge management (KM) practices of TCS.
Managing knowledge is of prime importance in the present information age,
especially for companies like TCS which depend heavily on knowledge for their
existence and growth. The expertise TCS has gained over the years was put into
optimal use through its KM initiatives. TCS was renowned for its 'Web of
Participation' structure which combined industry practices with service
practices. The KM initiatives of TCS were appreciated by Most Admired Knowledge
Enterprises (MAKE) survey, which placed the company among Asia's most admired
knowledge enterprises.
